To reset the BMW Business CD Car Radio 2000, disconnect the car battery for about 15 minutes, then reconnect it. This will reset the radio to its factory settings.
If 'CODE' appears on your radio, it means you need to enter the security code. Refer to your owner's manual or contact a BMW dealer to retrieve the code.
Check if the mute function is active or the volume is turned down. Also, ensure that the speakers are properly connected and there are no blown fuses.
Ensure the antenna is fully extended and in good condition. You can also check the antenna connections and replace the antenna if necessary.
Use a CD lens cleaner available at most electronics stores. Avoid using any liquid cleaners directly in the unit as it can damage the internal components.
Intermittent operation can be due to loose wiring or a failing electrical component. Check all connections and consider consulting a professional for a thorough diagnostic.
To set the clock, press the 'CLOCK' button and use the tuning knob or buttons to adjust the hours and minutes. Press 'CLOCK' again to save the setting.
Ensure the CDs are clean and free of scratches. If the issue persists, the laser lens may need cleaning or the unit may require servicing.
Press the 'TONE' button and use the control knob to adjust the bass and treble levels to your preference.
This model does not support Bluetooth or auxiliary input. Consider using an FM transmitter or aftermarket solutions for phone connectivity.
