To start a cleaning cycle, ensure the dishwasher is loaded properly and the door is closed. Select the desired program using the program selector button, then press the start button to begin the cycle.
If the dishwasher is not draining, check for clogs in the drain hose or filter. Ensure the sink's drain is clear, and inspect the air gap if present. Clean any blockages and try running the cycle again.
To clean the filter, remove the lower dish rack and locate the filter assembly at the bottom. Twist and lift the filter out, rinse it under running water, and remove any debris. Reinstall the filter by aligning it properly and twisting it back into place.
It is recommended to use high-quality dishwasher detergents, preferably in tablet or powder form. Avoid using hand dishwashing liquids as they can cause excessive suds and damage the appliance.
To adjust the water hardness setting, refer to the user manual to access the control panel settings. Use the buttons to navigate to the water hardness section, and set the level according to your local water hardness.
Residue can be caused by overloading the dishwasher, incorrect detergent use, or a clogged spray arm. Ensure proper loading, use the correct amount and type of detergent, and clean the spray arms if necessary.
To reset the dishwasher, press and hold the start button for approximately 3 seconds until the cycle cancels. Once the dishwasher has stopped, you can select a new cycle and start it as usual.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the filters, checking and cleaning the spray arms, wiping down the door seals, and running an empty cycle with a dishwasher cleaner to remove buildup and odors.
Ensure the dishwasher is level and that it is not in contact with surrounding cabinets. Check for loose items in the dishwasher and ensure that the spray arms can rotate freely without obstruction.
If the dishwasher does not start, check that it is plugged in and that the circuit breaker has not tripped. Ensure the door is fully closed and latched, and verify that the water supply is turned on.
