To set up your Beogram 2202, place it on a stable surface, connect the RCA cables to your amplifier or receiver, and ensure the unit is level. Adjust the tracking force and anti-skating settings according to the cartridge specifications.
First, check if the turntable is properly plugged in and the power switch is on. If the issue persists, inspect the drive belt for wear or breakage and replace it if necessary.
Ensure the turntable is placed on a vibration-free surface and check all connections for tightness. Cleaning the stylus and records regularly will also help reduce noise.
Regularly clean the stylus, platter, and records. Inspect the drive belt for wear every 6 months and replace it if necessary. Ensure the tonearm and cartridge are aligned correctly.
To adjust the tracking force, use the counterweight at the back of the tonearm. Turn it until the tonearm floats horizontally, then set the tracking force dial to the desired weight according to your cartridge specifications.
Check if the cueing lever is functioning properly. If it feels stuck, gently lubricate the mechanism. Ensure there are no obstructions on the tonearm path.
To change the cartridge, first unscrew the existing cartridge from the tonearm. Attach the new cartridge by aligning it properly and securing it with screws. Adjust the tracking force and anti-skating settings accordingly.
Distorted sound can result from a misaligned cartridge, dirt on the stylus, or worn records. Check cartridge alignment, clean the stylus with a brush, and ensure records are dust-free.
To replace the drive belt, remove the platter by lifting it off the spindle. Carefully remove the old belt and place the new one around the motor pulley and the platter rim. Reinstall the platter and test the turntable.
Use RCA cables to connect the Beogram 2202 to your amplifier. If the amplifier lacks a phono input, use a separate phono preamp to boost the signal before connecting to the amplifier’s line input.
