Ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO is off, and the gear shift lever is in neutral. Then, turn the ignition key to the start position and release it once the engine starts.
Check the fuel level, ensure the battery is charged, and inspect the spark plug for wear or damage. Verify that the safety switches are properly engaged.
Change the engine oil every 50 hours of operation or at the start of each season, whichever comes first.
Use SAE 30 or 10W-30 oil for normal operating conditions. Refer to the operator's manual for detailed specifications.
Move the cutting height adjustment lever to the desired position, ensuring it clicks into place. Check both sides to ensure even cutting height.
Inspect the blades for damage or imbalance, check for loose parts, and ensure that the deck is securely mounted. Tighten any loose bolts.
Regularly check the battery terminals for corrosion, keep them clean, and ensure the connections are tight. Charge the battery if it's not holding a charge.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, add a fuel stabilizer, and disconnect the battery. Store in a dry place with a cover to protect it from dust and moisture.
Check the tire pressure, ensure the deck is level, and inspect the blades for sharpness and damage. Adjust the deck if necessary.
Inspect the PTO switch and wiring for damage, ensure the belts are properly tensioned, and check the connections. Replace any faulty components.
