To start the Ariens 935015 Tractor, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO is off, and the gear is in neutral. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the start position. Hold until the engine starts, then release the key.
Check the battery connections and ensure they are clean and tight. Verify that the fuel tank is filled, the fuel valve is open, and the fuel filter is not clogged. Inspect the spark plug for wear and replace if necessary.
To change the oil, run the engine for a few minutes to warm it up. Turn off the engine and remove the oil drain plug to drain the old oil. Replace the drain plug and fill with new oil as specified in the manual. Dispose of the old oil properly.
Refer to the owner's manual for the recommended oil type. Typically, a high-quality SAE 30 oil is suitable for most temperatures, but consult the manual for specific recommendations based on your climate.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on the tractor. Move the lever to the desired position, which corresponds to the cutting height indicated on the scale next to the lever.
Ensure the PTO switch is in the 'engage' position. Check the belt for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Inspect the PTO clutch and electrical connections for any issues.
Regularly check the battery terminals for corrosion and clean them with a mixture of baking soda and water. Ensure the battery is securely mounted and check the charge level periodically. Recharge or replace the battery as needed.
Blade sharpening frequency depends on usage, but generally, blades should be sharpened after every 25 hours of use or at least once per season. Check the blades regularly for dullness or damage.
During routine maintenance, inspect the air filter, spark plug, belts, and blades. Check fluid levels, including oil and coolant. Tighten any loose bolts and ensure the tires are inflated to the correct pressure.
Clean the tractor thoroughly and remove any grass or debris. Drain the fuel or add a fuel stabilizer. Disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
