Ariens 936 Series 936060 Operators Manual

To start the Ariens 936060 Tractor, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the transmission is in neutral, and the PTO is disengaged. Turn the ignition key to the 'Start' position until the engine starts, then release it to the 'Run' position.
Check the battery connections for corrosion and ensure they are tight. Verify the fuel level and that the fuel valve is open. Inspect the spark plug for wear and replace if necessary.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 25 hours of operation or at the start of each season. Use SAE 30 oil for optimal performance.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Do not use E85 or other ethanol blends over 10% as they can damage the engine.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on the side of the tractor. Move the lever to the desired position, ensuring both sides are set equally for an even cut.
Check the air filter every 25 hours of operation. Clean it by tapping it gently to remove dirt and debris. Replace it if it appears damaged or excessively dirty.
Ensure the tire pressure is equal on all sides. Check if the mower deck is level and that the blades are sharp and not damaged. Adjust as necessary.
Check the transmission fluid level and add fluid if necessary. Ensure the drive belt is properly tensioned and not worn. Replace the belt if it shows signs of wear.
Keep the battery terminals clean and free of corrosion. Charge the battery fully before storing the tractor for long periods. Disconnect the battery if storing during off-season.
Clean the tractor thoroughly to remove dirt and debris. Change the oil and add a fuel stabilizer to the gas tank. Store the tractor in a dry, sheltered location. Disconnect the battery.
