To connect the Advent ADESKWL19 keyboard and mouse, insert the USB wireless receiver into an available USB port on your computer. Once plugged in, turn on the keyboard and mouse using their respective power switches. They should automatically pair with the receiver.
If the keyboard or mouse is not responding, first ensure that the batteries are properly inserted and have sufficient charge. Try reconnecting the USB receiver to the computer and turning the devices off and on again. If the problem persists, try connecting to a different USB port or restarting your computer.
To clean the keyboard, turn it off and gently shake it to remove debris. Use a soft brush or compressed air to clean between the keys. For the mouse, turn it off and wipe it with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or submerging either device in water.
Key reassignment depends on the operating system you are using. On Windows, you can use third-party software like SharpKeys to remap keys. On macOS, you can use the built-in Keyboard settings or third-party apps like Karabiner-Elements.
The Advent ADESKWL19 mouse requires two AAA batteries. Ensure you insert them in the correct orientation as indicated in the battery compartment.
To prolong battery life, turn off the keyboard and mouse when not in use. Use high-quality alkaline batteries, and consider rechargeable ones for cost efficiency. Additionally, avoid keeping the devices in extreme temperatures.
The Advent ADESKWL19 is designed for computers with a USB port. However, if your tablet or smartphone supports USB OTG (On-The-Go) and you have the appropriate adapter, you may be able to use them with those devices.
If keys are sticking, clean the keyboard using compressed air or a soft brush to remove debris. For keys not working, check if the keyboard is properly connected and reset the connection by reinserting the USB receiver. If necessary, reinstall the keyboard drivers on your computer.
The Advent ADESKWL19 keyboard is not specifically designed to be spill-resistant. It is advisable to keep liquids away from the keyboard to prevent damage.
