Yamaha SRX120R 2020 Operator's Manual

The Yamaha SRX120R 2020 is designed to run on regular unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using fuel with ethanol content higher than 10%.
It is recommended to change the engine oil every 20 hours of operation or at the end of each season, whichever comes first. Always use the specified 4-stroke engine oil.
The recommended tire pressure for the Yamaha SRX120R 2020 is 0.35 kg/cm² (5 psi) for both front and rear tires. Ensure you check the pressure regularly for optimal performance.
To adjust the chain tension, first loosen the rear axle nut. Adjust the chain adjuster bolts evenly on both sides until the chain has 10-20mm of slack. Tighten the axle nut securely after adjustment.
If the SRX120R won't start, check the fuel level, ensure the engine stop switch is in the "RUN" position, and inspect the spark plug for fouling. Replace any components if necessary.
For off-season storage, clean the snowmobile thoroughly, add a fuel stabilizer, drain the carburetor, and disconnect the battery. Store it in a dry, cool place and cover it to protect from dust.
During the first 10 hours of operation, avoid prolonged full-throttle operation and vary the speed. This ensures proper engine break-in and longevity of the snowmobile.
To replace the drive belt, remove the belt guard, squeeze the clutch to loosen the belt, and slide it off. Install the new belt starting from the drive clutch, ensuring proper alignment.
Regular maintenance checks include inspecting the throttle, brakes, chain tension, and lubrication of moving parts. Check the coolant and brake fluid levels, and inspect the spark plug regularly.
To test the ignition system, remove the spark plug and connect it to the ignition coil. Ground the plug against the engine and pull the starter. A strong blue spark indicates a healthy ignition system.
