The Yamaha SRX120 2015 is designed to run on regular unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using fuel with more than 10% ethanol content to prevent engine damage.
It is recommended to change the oil every 20 hours of operation or at the start of each season, whichever comes first. Always use high-quality 4-stroke engine oil.
The correct spark plug gap for the Yamaha SRX120 2015 is 0.6-0.7 mm (0.024-0.028 inches). Ensure the spark plug is clean and properly gapped to maintain optimal engine performance.
If the SRX120 does not start, check the fuel level, ensure the kill switch is in the 'Run' position, inspect the spark plug for fouling, and verify that the choke is properly engaged. If problems persist, consult a certified technician.
To adjust the chain tension, locate the chain tension adjusters near the rear axle. Loosen the axle nut, adjust the tensioners equally on both sides, and ensure the chain has about 10-15 mm of slack before tightening the axle nut securely.
The recommended tire pressure for the Yamaha SRX120 2015 is 0.35 kgf/cm² (5 psi) for both the front and rear tires. Regularly check the tire pressure to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Before each ride, check the fuel and oil levels, inspect the brake and throttle operation, verify the track and ski condition, and ensure all bolts and nuts are tight. Perform a quick check of the lights and reflectors for functionality.
If the track is slipping, inspect the track tension and adjust if necessary. Ensure the track is properly aligned and check for any ice or debris buildup. Tighten the track tensioners if there is excessive slack.
To store the SRX120 for the off-season, clean the snowmobile thoroughly, change the oil, add fuel stabilizer to a full tank, and remove the battery to store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the snowmobile and store it in a dry, sheltered area.
Before the winter season, inspect and replace the spark plug if necessary, change the oil, check the brakes and throttle for proper operation, inspect the drive belt and track, and ensure all electrical systems are working correctly.
