To clean the interior, remove all food items and detachable shelves. Use a solution of mild dish soap and warm water to wipe down the surfaces. Rinse with a clean damp cloth and dry thoroughly before replacing shelves and food.
Check if the condenser coils are dirty and clean them if necessary. Ensure the fridge is not overloaded and the door seals are intact. Adjust the thermostat settings and allow 24 hours for temperature to stabilize.
First, unplug the refrigerator. Locate the light cover inside the fridge, remove it, and unscrew the old bulb. Replace it with a new bulb of the same type and wattage, then reattach the cover.
The recommended temperature setting for the refrigerator is 37°F (3°C) and for the freezer is 0°F (-18°C). Adjust settings as needed based on usage and ambient conditions.
It is recommended to replace the water filter every six months or when the indicator light turns on, whichever comes first, to ensure optimal water quality.
This could be due to a blocked defrost drain. Check and clear any obstructions in the drain hole located at the back of the refrigerator compartment.
Perform the "dollar bill test": Close the door on a dollar bill and try to pull it out. If it slides out easily, the seal may need cleaning or replacement.
Unusual noises can be caused by the condenser fan or compressor. Ensure the refrigerator is level and check for loose parts. If noise persists, consult with a technician.
If the refrigerator does not resume normal operation after a power outage, unplug it for a few minutes, then plug it back in. Check the temperature settings and adjust if necessary.
Regularly clean the condenser coils, replace water filters, check door seals, and ensure proper airflow inside the fridge. Schedule annual professional maintenance checks if possible.
