To load dishes properly, place larger items like pots and pans on the bottom rack facing downwards. Ensure that dishes do not block the spray arms. Position glasses, cups, and small items on the top rack. Utensils should be placed in the designated basket with handles facing down.
If the dishwasher is not starting, check if the door is securely closed and latched. Ensure that the dishwasher is properly plugged in and that the circuit breaker has not tripped. Verify that the water supply valve is open.
To clean the filter, remove the bottom rack, locate the filter at the bottom of the dishwasher, and twist it counterclockwise to remove. Rinse the filter under running water and use a soft brush to remove debris. Reinstall by twisting it clockwise.
Check for clogs in the drain hose and filter. Ensure that the garbage disposal is clear if the dishwasher drains through it. Verify that the drain hose is not kinked or obstructed.
Clean the spray arms every few months or if you notice reduced cleaning performance. Remove the spray arms by unscrewing them, rinse under warm water, and use a toothpick to clear any blocked holes. Reattach securely.
To prevent spots and film, use a rinse aid to improve drying and prevent water spots. Ensure that you are using the correct type and amount of detergent and that the water temperature is at least 120°F (49°C).
To reset the dishwasher, press and hold the start button for 3 seconds until the display clears. Alternatively, disconnect the power supply for a few minutes and then reconnect it to perform a reset.
Regularly clean the filter and spray arms, check for and remove any debris, ensure the door seals are clean and intact, and run an empty cycle with vinegar to remove buildup every few months.
Unusual noises can be caused by items rattling against each other. Ensure dishes are properly loaded and not touching. Check that the spray arms are not hitting any items. Inspect for loose or worn parts.
To improve drying performance, use a rinse aid and ensure the dishwasher is loaded correctly to allow for proper air circulation. Select a longer drying cycle or use the "Heated Dry" option if available.
