To start a wash cycle on your Viking FDB200 Dishwasher, load your dishes into the racks, close the door securely, select your desired wash cycle on the control panel, and press the 'Start' button. The dishwasher will begin its operation.
First, check the drain hose for any clogs or kinks. Ensure that the garbage disposal, if connected, is clear. Clean the filter located at the bottom of the dishwasher, as blockages can prevent proper drainage.
To clean the filter, remove the bottom rack to access the filter. Turn the filter counterclockwise and lift it out. Rinse the filter under warm water to remove debris. Reinstall the filter by aligning it and turning it clockwise until it locks into place.
Ensure that you are using a rinse aid, which enhances drying performance. Verify that the 'Heated Dry' option is selected. Additionally, check if the dishwasher is overloaded, preventing proper air circulation.
Error code E4 typically indicates a water leakage issue. Inspect the dishwasher for any visible leaks and ensure it is level. Check the door seal for damage and make sure it is clean and properly seated.
It is recommended to clean the spray arms every 3 to 6 months, depending on usage. Remove the arms and rinse them under warm water, using a toothpick to clear any blocked nozzle holes.
Place larger items like pots and pans on the lower rack, ensuring they do not block the spray arms. Arrange plates and bowls with the dirty side facing the center. Use the upper rack for glasses and smaller items, and secure utensils in the silverware basket.
To reset the dishwasher, press and hold the 'Start' button for approximately 3 seconds until the display clears. Wait a few minutes, then select your desired cycle and press 'Start' again.
Regularly clean the filter, check and clean the spray arms, and inspect the door seal for debris. Run an empty cycle with dishwasher cleaner or vinegar monthly to keep the interior fresh and free of buildup.
Unusual noises can be due to items touching the spray arms. Ensure that dishes are properly loaded and that nothing is obstructing the spray arms. Also, check for any loose objects in the filter area.
