The recommended tire pressure for the Triumph Thunderbird Commander ABS 2015 is 36 psi for the front tire and 42 psi for the rear tire.
To check the engine oil level, ensure the motorcycle is on level ground and the engine is cool. Remove the dipstick, wipe it clean, reinsert it without screwing it in, then remove again to check the oil level. It should be between the minimum and maximum marks.
The Triumph Thunderbird Commander ABS 2015 requires a 10W-40 semi-synthetic motorcycle oil that meets the specifications of API SH or higher and JASO MA.
The chain should be lubricated every 300-600 miles (500-1,000 kilometers) or more frequently if ridden in wet or dusty conditions.
To adjust the clutch, locate the adjuster on the clutch lever. Loosen the locknut, turn the adjuster to achieve the desired free play (2-3 mm), and then retighten the locknut securely.
If the engine does not start, check the battery charge, ensure the kill switch is in the run position, verify the fuel level, and inspect the spark plugs and connections for proper function.
The service interval is every 6,000 miles (10,000 kilometers) or annually, whichever comes first, including oil change, filter replacement, and a comprehensive inspection.
To reset the trip meter, press and hold the trip button on the instrument panel until the trip meter resets to zero.
If the ABS warning light remains on, it indicates a potential issue with the ABS system. Safely stop the motorcycle and turn it off, then restart the engine. If the light remains on, consult a Triumph dealer for a diagnostic check.
Maintain the battery by keeping it fully charged using a compatible battery tender, checking connections for corrosion, and storing the motorcycle in a cool and dry place when not in use.
