To maintain the chain, regularly clean it with a chain cleaner, check for tension, and lubricate it with a suitable chain lubricant after every 500 miles or after riding in wet conditions.
The recommended tire pressure for the Triumph America A2 2012 is 34 psi for the front tire and 36 psi for the rear tire.
If the motorcycle won't start, check the battery charge, ensure the kill switch is off, inspect the spark plugs, and verify that the fuel supply is adequate.
Use a high-quality 10W-40 motorcycle oil that meets or exceeds API SH and JASO MA specifications.
The air filter should be checked every 6,000 miles and replaced if necessary, or at least once a year.
The coolant should be changed every 24,000 miles or every 2 years, whichever comes first.
To adjust the clutch, locate the adjustment screw near the clutch lever, loosen the locknut, adjust the screw to achieve the desired free play, and then tighten the locknut.
The spark plug gap should be set to 0.7 - 0.8 mm (0.028 - 0.031 inches).
To improve fuel efficiency, maintain proper tire pressure, use quality fuel, perform regular maintenance, and ride at a consistent speed without rapid acceleration.
If the engine overheats, pull over safely and turn off the engine. Allow it to cool down before checking the coolant level and inspecting for leaks. Refill coolant if necessary and consult a technician if the problem persists.
