To activate the TVIP V5 RS3200 PLUS system, ensure all doors, trunk, and hood are closed. Use the key fob to lock the vehicle. The system will automatically arm itself in about 30 seconds.
First, check if any doors, the trunk, or the hood are not closed properly. If the issue persists, inspect the sensors for any visible damage or dirt that might be causing false alarms.
To temporarily disable the alarm, unlock the vehicle using the key fob or the key itself. The system will disarm when the car is unlocked.
After replacing the battery, re-synchronize the key fob by turning the ignition key from 'Off' to 'On' five times within 10 seconds. The alarm system will then reset.
The typical range of the key fob is around 30 feet. Factors such as battery strength and environmental interference can affect this range.
To replace the key fob battery, open the fob by prying it apart at the seam. Replace the battery with a new CR2032 battery, ensuring the positive side faces up.
Common causes include a door, trunk, or hood not being fully closed, a malfunctioning sensor, or a drained key fob battery.
To test the sensors, arm the system and gently shake each door and the trunk to ensure the alarm triggers. If the alarm does not sound, inspect the sensor for that entry point.
Regularly check the battery in the key fob, ensure sensors are clean and unobstructed, and test the system every few months to ensure it is functioning correctly.
If the alarm system light remains on, it could indicate a fault in the system. Check the user manual for troubleshooting steps, and consult a professional if the issue persists.
