To turn on the Thomson ICKT656XI hob, press the power button located on the control panel. Once the hob is powered on, select the desired cooking zone and adjust the heat setting using the '+' and '-' buttons.
If the hob does not heat up, first ensure the appliance is plugged in and switched on. Check if the child lock is activated and deactivate it if necessary. If the problem persists, consult the user manual for further troubleshooting or contact customer support.
To clean the hob surface, wait until it cools down, then use a soft cloth with mild detergent or a hob cleaner. Avoid using abrasive pads or cleaners that could scratch the surface. Wipe with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
Maintain the hob's efficiency by regularly cleaning it after each use, avoiding spills during cooking, and using cookware with flat bottoms that fully contact the hob surface. Ensure the power supply is stable and avoid overloading the circuit.
To activate the child lock, press and hold the lock button on the control panel for a few seconds until the lock indicator lights up. This will prevent any accidental operation of the hob.
Not all cookware is suitable for induction hobs. Ensure that your cookware is induction-compatible, typically made of ferrous metals like cast iron or stainless steel. You can check compatibility by seeing if a magnet sticks to the bottom of the cookware.
A buzzing noise is common with induction hobs and may occur due to the electromagnetic processes involved. It is usually normal, but if it becomes excessive, ensure the cookware is suitable and properly placed on the hob.
To reset the hob to factory settings, refer to the user manual for specific instructions, as the procedure may vary. Usually, it involves pressing a combination of buttons on the control panel.
If an error code appears, consult the user manual to identify the issue. Common solutions include checking power connections, ensuring proper cookware use, or resetting the hob. If unresolved, contact customer support for assistance.
Prevent scratches by using cookware with smooth bottoms, avoiding dragging pots across the surface, and using protective covers when the hob is not in use. Regularly clean to remove residue that may cause scratching.
