The recommended oil type for the Suzuki RM-Z450 2023 is SAE 10W-40 of a high-quality motor oil. The oil capacity is approximately 1.2 liters when changing the oil and filter.
The air filter should be inspected and cleaned after every ride in dusty conditions. Under normal conditions, it is advisable to clean it every three to four rides.
The recommended tire pressure for the RM-Z450 2023 is 15 psi for both front and rear tires under normal riding conditions.
To adjust the suspension, use the compression and rebound adjusters located on the forks and shock. Consult the manual for specific settings based on terrain type, such as softening the suspension for rocky terrain.
If the RM-Z450 won't start, check the fuel level, ensure the kill switch is in the correct position, inspect the spark plug, and verify that the battery is charged.
Regularly clean and lubricate the chain every 300-500 miles or after riding in wet or muddy conditions. Also, check the tension and adjust it to have about 1.2 inches of slack.
If overheating occurs, stop riding and let the engine cool down. Check the coolant level and ensure the radiator fins are clean and unobstructed. Consider changing the coolant if the problem persists.
To adjust the clutch lever, loosen the lock nut and turn the adjuster screw until you achieve the desired free play, typically about 10-15 mm at the lever tip. Tighten the lock nut afterward.
Valve clearance should be checked initially at 15 hours of use and then every 30 hours thereafter to ensure optimal engine performance.
To improve fuel efficiency, maintain regular servicing, ensure correct tire pressure, use the recommended oil, and avoid aggressive throttle use.
