To break in the engine, avoid full-throttle starts and rapid acceleration for the first 10 hours of operation. Vary the engine speed and avoid prolonged idling. This helps in seating the piston rings and ensures longevity.
If your ATV does not start, check the fuel level first. Make sure the fuel valve is open. Check the battery connections for corrosion or looseness. Also, ensure that the engine stop switch is in the "Run" position.
Change the oil after the first 10 hours of operation and every 6 months or 100 hours thereafter, whichever comes first. Always use the recommended oil type as specified in the owner’s manual.
The Suzuki QuadSport LT-Z90 requires unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using ethanol blends higher than 10% as they may cause damage to the engine components.
Check the air filter for clogs and clean or replace it as necessary. Ensure the spark plug is in good condition and replace it if worn. Verify that the fuel is fresh and that the carburetor is adjusted correctly.
The recommended tire pressure for the LT-Z90 is 2.5 psi for the front tires and 3.6 psi for the rear tires. Always check tire pressure when the tires are cold for accurate readings.
Remove the air filter cover and take out the air filter. Wash it with a mild detergent and water, then let it dry completely. Apply air filter oil before reinstalling it. Clean the air filter every 10 hours of use, or more frequently in dusty conditions.
Regularly inspect the brake system, tire pressure, chain tension, and lubrication. Check the battery terminals for corrosion and ensure all nuts and bolts are tightened properly. These checks help maintain performance and safety.
To adjust the chain tension, loosen the axle nut and turn the adjuster bolts evenly on both sides until the chain has 20-30 mm of slack. Re-tighten the axle nut after adjustment.
After riding in wet or muddy conditions, thoroughly wash your LT-Z90 to remove mud and debris. Inspect and clean the air filter, lube the chain, and check the brakes for any mud buildup. Ensure all electrical connections are dry before storing.
