To perform regular maintenance, regularly check the engine oil level, clean the air filter, inspect the brakes, and check tire pressure. Refer to the owner's manual for specific intervals and procedures.
If the ATV won't start, check the battery connections, ensure the fuel valve is open, inspect the spark plug, and verify that the engine stop switch is in the "run" position.
Check for clogged air filters, inspect the fuel system for blockages, ensure the spark plug is clean and properly gapped, and verify that the carburetor is adjusted correctly.
Use a high-quality 4-stroke engine oil with a viscosity rating of SAE 10W-40. Make sure the oil meets the specifications outlined in the owner's manual.
To adjust the chain tension, loosen the rear axle nut, adjust the chain adjusters on either side of the swingarm, and ensure the chain has the proper slack as specified in the manual. Tighten the axle nut after adjustments.
Check the brake fluid levels and inspect the brake lines for air bubbles or leaks. Bleed the brakes if necessary to remove any air from the system.
Maintain proper tire pressure, perform regular engine tune-ups, avoid excessive idling, and ensure the air filter and spark plug are clean.
The recommended tire pressure for the front tires is 2.5 psi, and for the rear tires, it is 2.5 psi. Always check the tire pressure when the tires are cold.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the filter, wash it in a mild detergent solution, rinse thoroughly, allow it to dry completely, and apply a light coat of air filter oil before reinstalling.
Inspect the tires for damage, check fluid levels, test the brakes, ensure the throttle operates smoothly, and check the chain tension and lubrication.
