To properly break in the engine, operate the ATV at moderate speeds for the first 10 hours of use. Avoid full throttle starts and do not operate at constant engine speeds. Vary the throttle position to help seat the piston rings.
The recommended oil type is SAE 10W-40, API classification SG or SH. The oil capacity is approximately 0.9 liters (0.95 US qt) when changing the filter.
The air filter should be inspected and cleaned every 6 months or 3,000 km (1,864 miles), whichever comes first. Replace the air filter if it is damaged or excessively dirty.
Check the fuel level and ensure the fuel valve is in the "ON" position. Inspect the spark plug for wear or fouling and replace if necessary. Also, ensure the battery is fully charged and the air filter is clean.
To adjust the chain tension, loosen the rear axle nut. Rotate the chain adjusters on both sides equally to achieve the proper slack of 15-25 mm (0.6-1.0 inches) at the midpoint of the chain. Retighten the axle nut securely after adjustment.
The recommended tire pressure for the front tires is 35 kPa (5.0 psi) and for the rear tires is 35 kPa (5.0 psi). Ensure to check the tire pressure when the tires are cold.
To clean the carburetor, remove it from the ATV and disassemble it. Use carburetor cleaner spray to clean all jets and passages. Ensure all parts are dry before reassembly. Be careful not to damage gaskets and seals.
If the engine overheats, stop the ATV immediately and let it cool down. Check the coolant level and ensure there are no leaks. Inspect the radiator and cooling fins for obstructions. Do not operate the ATV until the issue is resolved.
Regularly inspect brake pads for wear and replace them if thickness is less than 1 mm (0.04 inches). Check brake fluid levels and top up with DOT 4 brake fluid if necessary. Bleed the brake system to remove air if the brakes feel spongy.
The torque specification for the wheel nuts is 25 N·m (18 lb·ft). Always use a torque wrench to ensure accurate tightening.
