It's recommended to perform maintenance every 6 months or 100 hours of operation, whichever comes first. Regular checks should include oil changes, brake inspections, and air filter cleaning.
Ensure the ATV has fuel, the battery is charged, and the spark plug is clean. If it still doesn't start, check the kill switch and ensure the choke is properly set.
Use SAE 10W-40 engine oil that meets the API service classification SF or SG. Ensure the oil is suitable for wet clutch systems.
Locate the throttle limiter screw on the right handlebar. Turn it clockwise to reduce throttle range and counterclockwise to increase it.
Check the brake fluid level and top it up if necessary. Bleed the brakes to remove any air trapped in the brake lines. If the issue persists, inspect the brake pads for wear.
Remove the air filter cover and take out the filter. Wash it with soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and let it dry completely before reinstalling. Oil the filter lightly before placing it back.
The recommended tire pressure for the front tires is 2.9 psi and for the rear tires is 2.9 psi. Always check tire pressure when the tires are cold.
Regular maintenance is key. Ensure the air filter is clean, the spark plug is in good condition, and use high-quality fuel. Consider upgrading to performance parts if available.
Check the coolant levels and ensure there is no blockage in the radiator. Ensure the fan is working properly and avoid riding in extreme heat conditions.
Clean the ATV thoroughly, change the oil, and fill the tank with fuel stabilizer. Disconnect the battery and store it in a dry, cool place. Cover the ATV to protect it from dust and moisture.
