To check the oil level, ensure the ATV is on level ground and the engine is off. Remove the oil dipstick, wipe it clean, reinsert it without screwing it in, and then remove it again to check the oil level. The oil should be between the low and high marks.
Suzuki recommends using SAE 10W-40, API SG or SH, or JASO MA certified oil for optimal performance and protection.
It is recommended to change the oil every 3,000 miles or 6 months, whichever comes first, to ensure optimal engine performance and longevity.
To adjust the drive chain tension, first, loosen the axle nut. Then, adjust the chain adjusters on both sides of the swingarm evenly until the chain has 1.2 to 1.6 inches of slack. Tighten the axle nut securely after adjusting.
If the ATV won't start, check the battery for proper charge, inspect the fuel level, ensure the kill switch is in the 'run' position, and verify that the spark plug is clean and connected properly.
Before storing, clean the ATV thoroughly, change the oil, fill the fuel tank and add fuel stabilizer, disconnect the battery, and cover the ATV to protect it from dust and moisture.
To replace the air filter, remove the seat, open the air filter cover, remove the old filter, and replace it with a new one. Ensure the new filter is seated properly before reassembling the cover and seat.
Check the brake fluid level and top it off if necessary. Inspect the brake pads for wear and replace them if they are worn down. Bleed the brake lines to remove any air that may have entered the system.
To engage 4WD, stop the vehicle and shift into neutral. Turn the 4WD switch to the '4WD' position. A 4WD indicator light on the dashboard will illuminate to confirm the engagement.
The recommended tire pressure for the front tires is 4.0 psi and for the rear tires is 4.0 psi. Always check the pressure when the tires are cold for accurate readings.
