For optimal performance, it is recommended to change the oil every 3,000 to 4,000 miles, or at least once a year, depending on usage conditions.
The recommended oil type is SAE 10W-40, API SG or JASO MA. Always ensure you use high-quality motorcycle oil.
To adjust the chain tension, first, place the bike on its center stand. Loosen the axle nut, adjust the chain tensioner bolts evenly on both sides, and ensure there is 20-30mm of slack at the midpoint of the chain. Tighten the axle nut securely.
The recommended tire pressure is 29 psi for the front tire and 36 psi for the rear tire. Always check the pressure when the tires are cold.
If your motorcycle is having starting issues, first check the battery connections for tightness and corrosion. Ensure the kill switch is set to 'Run' and the fuel valve is on. If these are fine, check the spark plugs and fuel supply.
If the engine overheats, stop riding immediately and let the engine cool down. Check the coolant level and look for any leaks. Ensure the radiator is not blocked or dirty. If the problem persists, consult a professional mechanic.
Regularly check the brake pads for wear and replace them if they are below the minimum thickness. Ensure the brake fluid level is between the minimum and maximum marks and replace the fluid every two years.
The recommended service interval is every 3,000 miles or 6 months, whichever comes first. Be sure to follow the maintenance schedule in the owner’s manual for detailed service tasks.
To improve fuel efficiency, ensure the air filter is clean, maintain proper tire pressure, avoid rapid acceleration and deceleration, and perform regular maintenance as per the schedule.
If the headlights are dim, check the bulb for wear or damage and replace it if necessary. Also, ensure the battery is fully charged and the electrical connections are clean and secure.
