To perform an oil change, warm up the engine, place the motorcycle on a stand, and remove the oil drain plug. Allow the oil to drain completely, then replace the drain plug and add new engine oil through the fill hole. Use oil recommended by Suzuki.
The Suzuki GSX250R 2018 is designed to run on unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87 (RON 91).
Start by checking the battery connections for corrosion or looseness. Inspect fuses and replace any that are blown. If the issue persists, use a multimeter to test the battery voltage and check wiring for damage.
The recommended tire pressure is 29 psi for the front tire and 36 psi for the rear tire. Always check the pressure when the tires are cold.
It is recommended to clean and lubricate the chain every 600 miles (1,000 km) or more frequently if riding in wet or dusty conditions.
If the engine overheats, stop the motorcycle in a safe location, turn off the engine, and allow it to cool. Check the coolant level and look for leaks. Refill coolant if necessary and inspect the radiator and hoses for blockages.
To adjust the clutch lever, loosen the locknut on the clutch cable adjuster, turn the adjuster to set the desired free play, and then tighten the locknut securely.
Regular maintenance should be performed every 4,000 miles (6,500 km) or six months, whichever comes first. This includes oil changes, checking brakes, and inspecting the chain. Refer to the owner's manual for a detailed schedule.
To improve fuel efficiency, maintain proper tire pressure, use recommended oil, avoid aggressive acceleration, and keep the motorcycle well-tuned. Regular maintenance is key to optimal performance.
For off-season storage, clean the motorcycle, change the oil, add fuel stabilizer to a full tank, disconnect the battery, and store the bike in a dry place. Cover it to protect from dust and moisture.
