To perform an oil change, warm up the engine, place the motorcycle on a level surface, remove the drain plug, and let the old oil drain out completely. Replace the oil filter, refit the drain plug, and fill the engine with fresh oil to the recommended level.
Use high-quality 10W-40 motorcycle oil that meets API SG or higher specifications. Check your owner's manual for any specific recommendations.
Check the battery connections and charge, inspect the spark plug for wear or damage, ensure there is sufficient fuel, and check the kill switch position. If issues persist, consult a mechanic.
Replace the air filter every 12,000 kilometers or 7,500 miles, or more frequently if you ride in dusty conditions.
Maintain a tire pressure of 29 psi (2.0 bar) for the front tire and 33 psi (2.25 bar) for the rear tire. Adjust accordingly for passenger or load.
Ensure regular maintenance, keep tires properly inflated, avoid excessive idling, and ride smoothly without sudden accelerations or braking.
Loosen the rear axle nut, adjust the tension using the adjuster bolts on each side until the chain has about 20-30mm of slack, then tighten the axle nut securely.
Stop the engine immediately, let it cool down, check the coolant level, inspect for leaks, and ensure the radiator fan is functioning. If the problem persists, seek professional help.
Remove the caliper bolts, slide the caliper off the brake disc, remove the old pads, insert new pads, and refit the caliper ensuring all bolts are tightened to the specified torque.
Keep the battery terminals clean and tight, regularly check and maintain the charge, avoid leaving electrical components on when the engine is off, and store the bike in a temperature-controlled environment.
