To bind the Spektrum SPM2120 Transmitter to a receiver, turn on the transmitter while holding the bind button, then power on the receiver. The receiver's LED will flash, indicating it is in bind mode. Release the bind button on the transmitter to complete the process.
First, check that the batteries in both the transmitter and receiver are fully charged. Ensure that the receiver is in bind mode and that you are within range. If the problem persists, try re-binding the transmitter and receiver.
To update the firmware, download the latest firmware from the Spektrum website, copy it to an SD card, and insert the card into the transmitter. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the update process.
To calibrate the sticks, navigate to the system settings menu on the transmitter and select 'Calibration'. Follow the on-screen instructions to move the sticks through their full range of motion.
To perform a factory reset, go to the system settings menu and select 'Factory Reset'. Confirm the action when prompted. Note that this will erase all custom settings and models.
Regularly check the transmitter for physical damage, ensure all buttons and sticks move smoothly, and replace batteries as needed. Keep the firmware up to date and clean the exterior with a soft cloth.
Ensure the transmitter and receiver antennas are oriented correctly and not obstructed by metal or carbon fiber. Avoid flying in areas with high radio interference. Consider upgrading to a higher-gain antenna if necessary.
Common issues include low battery levels, overheating, or a firmware bug. Ensure the battery is charged, use the transmitter in a cool environment, and keep firmware updated to prevent unexpected shutdowns.
Go to the model setup menu, select the model you wish to customize, and adjust the control settings. You can assign different functions to switches and sticks as needed for each model.
First, try restarting the transmitter. If the issue persists, check for firmware updates or perform a factory reset. If the problem continues, contact Spektrum support for further assistance.
