To reset the Sony ZS-X1 to factory settings, unplug the device from the power source, then press and hold the "Stop" button while reconnecting the power. Continue holding until the display shows "RESET".
If the CD player won't read discs, first ensure the disc is clean and free from scratches. Try a different disc to rule out disc issues. If the problem persists, clean the lens with a CD lens cleaner.
The Sony ZS-X1 does not support direct connection to external speakers as it lacks speaker output ports. However, you can connect audio devices via the headphone jack using an appropriate adapter.
To improve radio reception, extend the antenna fully and reposition it for optimal signal. Avoid placing the unit near electronic devices that may cause interference.
Ensure that the power cord is securely connected to both the device and the power outlet. Check for any blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers. If using batteries, ensure they are correctly installed and have sufficient charge.
To set the clock, press and hold the "Clock" button until the time begins to flash. Use the "Tune/Time Set +/-" buttons to adjust the hour and minute. Press "Clock" again to confirm.
Clean the exterior of the Sony ZS-X1 with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using chemicals or abrasive materials. For the CD compartment, use a dry, lint-free cloth to wipe away dust and debris.
To use the sleep timer, press the "Sleep" button repeatedly to select the desired time duration (e.g., 10, 20, 30 minutes). The device will automatically power off after the set time.
The Sony ZS-X1 requires 6 size D batteries for portable use. Ensure the batteries are inserted correctly following the polarity indicators in the battery compartment.
The Sony ZS-X1 supports audio CDs and CD-R/RW discs with MP3 files. Ensure the MP3 files are properly encoded and the disc is finalized before attempting playback.
