To connect the Sony STR-DG720 to a TV, use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI OUT on the receiver to the HDMI IN on the TV. Ensure the TV is set to the correct HDMI input source.
Check if the receiver is set to the correct input source. Ensure all speaker wires are connected properly and that the speakers are not muted. Also, verify that the volume is turned up.
To reset the receiver, press and hold the POWER button while pressing the TONE MODE button. Release both buttons when "CLEARING" appears on the display.
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the receiver. Avoid using any liquid cleaners or spraying any substances directly onto the device.
The Sony STR-DG720 does not have built-in Bluetooth functionality. You can use a Bluetooth adapter connected to the receiver's AUX or RCA input to stream audio wirelessly.
The STR-DG720 supports various speaker configurations, including 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound setups. Ensure speakers are connected to the appropriate terminals.
The STR-DG720 does not support firmware updates. It operates with the firmware installed from the factory.
Ensure that the FM antenna is fully extended and positioned for optimal reception. You may also need to adjust the antenna's direction or location.
Ensure the receiver has adequate ventilation. Do not block the ventilation holes and avoid placing it near heat sources. If overheating persists, consider using a fan or relocating the unit.
Use the remote control's learning function to program it for other devices. Refer to the user manual for specific instructions on entering device codes and programming procedures.
