To reset the Sony STR-DE895 to factory settings, turn off the receiver. Then while holding down the "POWER" button, press and hold the "TONE MODE" and "DIMMER" buttons for about 5 seconds until "INITIAL" appears on the display. Release the buttons to complete the reset process.
