To perform a factory reset on the Sony STR-DE885, turn off the receiver. Then, while holding down the "POWER" button, press the "SPEAKERS" button simultaneously. This will reset the unit to its factory settings.
Check all cables and speaker connections. Ensure the receiver is set to the correct input source and that the volume is turned up. Also, verify that the mute function is not activated.
Connect the audio output of your TV to the audio input of the receiver using appropriate cables, such as RCA or optical cables. Then, select the corresponding input on the receiver.
To calibrate the speakers, access the receiver’s menu and navigate to the speaker settings. Use the test tone feature to adjust the levels of each speaker so that they are balanced according to your listening position.
