To reset the Sony STR-DE445 to factory settings, turn off the receiver. Then, while holding down the "POWER" button, press the "VIDEO" button until 'INITIAL' appears on the display. Release the buttons to complete the reset.
Ensure all speaker wires are securely connected and check that the correct input is selected. Verify that the speaker settings are configured correctly in the setup menu and the 'MUTING' function is not activated.
Use RCA audio cables to connect the 'AUDIO OUT' from your TV to the 'AUDIO IN' on the receiver. Set the receiver to the corresponding input source to hear TV audio through your speakers.
The "PROTECTOR" message indicates a potential short circuit. Check all speaker wires for proper insulation and connectivity. Ensure none of the wires are frayed or touching each other.
To program the remote, press and hold the 'SAVING' button on the remote until the mode buttons flash. Enter the code for your device using the numeric keys, then press 'ENTER' to save the code.
Turn off and unplug the receiver. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Avoid using any liquids or sprays directly on the unit to prevent damage.
The Sony STR-DE445 does not support wireless speakers directly. You can, however, use a Bluetooth transmitter connected to the headphone jack to send audio to Bluetooth-enabled speakers.
Press the 'LEVEL' button on the remote to access the speaker setup menu. Adjust the speaker levels and balance using the arrow keys, and confirm your settings with the 'ENTER' button.
First, replace the batteries in the remote control. If the issue persists, ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the receiver's sensor. Try resetting the remote by removing the batteries and pressing all buttons.
The Sony STR-DE445 does not support firmware updates as it is an older model. Ensure optimal performance by keeping the unit clean and well-maintained.
