To reset the Sony STR-AV920, turn off the unit and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. The settings should be reset to factory defaults.
First, ensure that all speaker wires are properly connected. Check the speaker settings in the menu to ensure they are configured correctly. Also, verify that the mute function is not activated and the correct input source is selected.
Connect the audio output from your TV to the audio input on the STR-AV920 using RCA cables. Make sure to select the corresponding input on the receiver to hear the TV audio through your speakers.
Ensure the unit is well-ventilated and not placed in a confined space. Check for any obstructions around the vents. If the problem persists, reduce the volume level as excessive volume can cause overheating.
Press the TUNER button to select FM or AM. Use the tuning controls to find the desired station. For preset stations, use the MEMORY feature to save and recall your favorite stations.
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the STR-AV920. Avoid using any liquid cleaners or solvents. Periodically check and clean any dust build-up around the vents and connections.
Adjust the bass settings in the receiver’s equalizer menu. Additionally, ensure that your speakers are capable of handling low frequencies effectively, or consider adding a subwoofer for enhanced bass performance.
The Sony STR-AV920 does not support Bluetooth connectivity natively. You will need to use an external Bluetooth adapter connected to the receiver’s audio input.
Check if the batteries in the remote control need replacing. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the receiver. If the issue persists, consider resetting the remote by removing the batteries and pressing all buttons before reinserting them.
Connect the surround speakers to the appropriate outputs on the receiver. Access the speaker setup menu and configure the speaker size, distance, and levels to optimize the surround sound experience.
