To pair the Sony RM-X32 with your car stereo, ensure both devices are powered on. Press and hold the pairing button on the RM-X32 until the LED starts flashing. Then, enable Bluetooth on your car stereo and select "RM-X32" from the list of available devices.
If the RM-X32 is not responding, try replacing the batteries. If the issue persists, reset the remote by removing the batteries, pressing all buttons to discharge any residual power, and then reinstalling the batteries.
The RM-X32 is primarily designed for compatibility with Sony car stereos. While it may work with other brands, full functionality is not guaranteed. Check the user manual of your car stereo for compatibility information.
To change the battery in the RM-X32, slide the battery compartment cover open on the back of the remote. Remove the old battery and insert a new CR2025 lithium coin cell battery with the positive side facing up. Replace the cover.
The Sony RM-X32 remote control typically has an effective range of up to 10 meters (approximately 33 feet) in an open area without obstructions. Walls and other barriers may reduce this range.
To reset the RM-X32 to factory settings, remove the batteries and press all buttons to discharge any remaining power. Reinsert the batteries, and the remote will reset to its default settings.
The Sony RM-X32 does not support voice commands. It is a traditional remote control with buttons for manual operation.
If the RM-X32 fails to connect, ensure the device is within range, check the battery level, and verify that the remote is in pairing mode. Restart both the remote and the target device, and try the pairing process again.
To clean the RM-X32, lightly dampen a soft cloth with water and gently wipe the surface of the remote. Avoid using harsh chemicals or excessive moisture that could damage the device.
The Sony RM-X32 is not waterproof. It is recommended to keep the remote dry and away from water or moisture to prevent damage.
