To set up the Sony PS-LX350H, place the turntable on a flat surface. Attach the platter, slipmat, and balance the tonearm by adjusting the counterweight. Connect the turntable to your audio system using the RCA cables. Ensure the tracking force and anti-skate settings match your cartridge requirements.
If your Sony PS-LX350H is not spinning, check if the belt is properly attached to the motor spindle and platter. Ensure the power cord is plugged in and that the power switch is turned on. Examine the tonearm's position as it needs to be over the record to start spinning.
To reduce humming, ensure all cables are securely connected and not touching any power cords. Use the grounding wire provided with the turntable and connect it to the ground terminal on your amplifier or receiver. Keep the turntable away from electronic devices that may cause interference.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the stylus with a stylus brush, ensuring the platter and belt are free from dust, and checking the tonearm balance and tracking force. Replace the belt every few years or as needed. Keep the turntable covered when not in use to avoid dust accumulation.
To replace the stylus, gently pull the old stylus out of the cartridge. Align the new stylus with the cartridge and push it in until it clicks into place. Ensure the new stylus is compatible with your cartridge model.
The Sony PS-LX350H does not have built-in Bluetooth capability. To connect to a Bluetooth speaker, you will need a Bluetooth transmitter. Connect the transmitter to the RCA outputs of the turntable and pair it with your Bluetooth speaker.
The recommended tracking force for the PS-LX350H's stock cartridge is typically around 3.0 grams. Check your cartridge's specifications to ensure the correct tracking force is applied. Adjust the counterweight on the tonearm accordingly.
To adjust the anti-skate on the PS-LX350H, use the anti-skate dial located near the tonearm pivot. Set it to match the tracking force of your cartridge. This helps maintain proper stylus alignment and prevents skipping.
If the audio output is low, check if the turntable's built-in preamp switch is turned on, or ensure you have connected it to an external phono preamp. Verify that your amplifier or receiver is set to the correct input and volume level.
To prevent skipping, make sure the turntable is on a stable surface and level. Check the tracking force and anti-skate settings to ensure they're correct for your cartridge. Clean the record and stylus to remove any debris that could cause skipping.
