To reset the Sony MHC-C90 to its factory settings, unplug the power cord and wait for a few minutes. Plug it back in while holding down the 'Power' button until you see 'RESET' on the display.
Check if the speaker wires are properly connected to the system. Ensure that the volume is turned up and the mute function is not activated. If the issue persists, try connecting different speakers to determine if the problem is with the speakers or the unit.
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the CD player. For the lens, use a commercially available lens cleaner designed for CD players. Avoid using liquids or sprays directly on the lens.
Ensure that the power cord is securely plugged into both the unit and a working electrical outlet. Check the fuse and replace it if necessary. If it still won't turn on, there may be an internal issue requiring professional servicing.
You can connect a smartphone to the Sony MHC-C90 using an audio cable with a 3.5mm jack. Plug one end into the headphone jack of your smartphone and the other into the 'AUDIO IN' port on the system.
Ensure that the tape is inserted correctly and that the cassette deck is clean. Check for any obstructions or damaged tape. If the problem continues, the deck may need maintenance or belt replacement.
To improve radio reception, extend the FM antenna fully and adjust its position. For AM reception, move the unit to a location with better signal strength or use an external AM antenna if available.
While the Sony MHC-C90 is primarily designed as an audio system, you can connect it to your TV or external devices using the audio input ports to enhance your home theater experience.
Regularly clean the exterior and control panel with a soft, dry cloth. Check and clean the cassette and CD mechanisms periodically. Ensure all connections are secure and inspect for any signs of wear or damage.
Press the 'CLOCK/TIMER SET' button and use the arrow keys to set the hour. Press 'ENTER' to confirm, then set the minutes in the same way. Press 'ENTER' again to finalize the setting.
