To connect external speakers to your Sony LBT-D390, locate the speaker terminals on the back of the unit. Ensure the power is off, then connect the speaker wires to the corresponding terminals, matching the positive and negative polarities.
If the CD tray won't open, first ensure the unit is powered on. Try pressing the eject button on the remote control or the unit itself. If it still doesn't open, unplug the system for a few minutes and try again.
The Sony LBT-D390 does not have built-in Bluetooth capabilities. You can use an external Bluetooth receiver connected via the audio input to stream music from your phone.
To clean the cassette deck, use a cassette head cleaner and follow the instructions on the cleaner. You can also gently clean the heads and rollers with a cotton swab moistened with isopropyl alcohol.
Ensure that the speakers are properly connected and the volume is turned up. Check that the correct input source is selected. If there is still no sound, try resetting the system by unplugging it for a few minutes.
To reset the Sony LBT-D390, turn off the system and unplug it. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds, then plug the system back in and power it on. This should reset the system to factory settings.
If the system shuts off unexpectedly, it may be overheating. Ensure it has proper ventilation and is not placed in an enclosed space. Check for any obstructions blocking the ventilation grills.
To improve FM radio reception, extend the FM antenna wire fully and adjust its position. You may also connect an external FM antenna to the FM antenna port for better signal strength.
Regularly dust the exterior with a soft cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals. Keep the system in a dry, cool area and ensure proper ventilation. Periodically check and clean the cassette and CD components.
Press the 'Function' button on the unit or the remote control to cycle through available audio sources such as CD, Tape, Tuner, and any connected external inputs.
