To reset the Sony ICF-SW35, remove the batteries, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds, then reinsert the batteries.
Check if the batteries are properly inserted and have sufficient charge. If using the AC adapter, ensure it is correctly plugged in.
Extend the antenna fully and try repositioning it for better signal reception. You can also try moving to a location with fewer obstructions.
Press the 'Alarm' button, use the tuning buttons to set the desired time, and press 'Enter' to confirm. Ensure the alarm switch is set to 'On'.
Tune to the desired station, then press and hold the 'Memory' button until the preset number flashes. Use the tuning buttons to select a preset number and press 'Enter'.
Press and hold the 'Time Set' button while using the tuning buttons to adjust the hours and minutes. Release the 'Time Set' button to confirm.
Check the volume level and ensure it is not set too high. Also, verify if the batteries need replacing or if there is interference from other electronic devices.
Press the 'Band' button to cycle through AM, FM, and SW bands. The current band will be displayed on the screen.
Ensure the volume is turned up and that headphones are not plugged into the headphone jack, which will mute the speaker.
Lower the volume, turn off the radio when not in use, and use the AC adapter when possible to conserve battery power.
