Sony ICF-CD815 Operating Instructions

To set the clock, press and hold the CLOCK button until the time starts flashing. Use the TUNING +/– buttons to adjust the hour, then press CLOCK again to set the minutes. Press CLOCK once more to confirm.
To improve radio reception, fully extend the FM wire antenna and reposition it for optimal reception. For AM stations, rotate the unit horizontally to find the best signal.
Ensure the disc is inserted correctly with the label side up. Check for dust or scratches on the disc. If issues persist, try cleaning the CD lens with a lens cleaning disc.
To set the alarm, press and hold the ALARM button until the time starts flashing. Adjust the time using the TUNING +/– buttons. Press ALARM again to select the alarm sound source (Radio, Buzzer, or CD). Press ALARM to confirm.
Check the power cord for a secure connection and ensure the outlet is functioning. Try resetting the unit by unplugging it for a few minutes, then plugging it back in.
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Avoid using any chemical cleaners or water to prevent damage. For the CD lens, use a lens cleaning disc.
The Sony ICF-CD815 does not have an auxiliary input for external devices. It is designed to play CDs and receive radio signals only.
Unplug the power cord and remove any backup batteries. Wait for about 10 minutes, then reinsert the batteries and plug the unit back in. The settings will be reset to factory defaults.
Ensure the alarm is switched on and set to the correct time and sound source. Double-check that the volume is not set to a minimum level.
Press and hold the CLOCK button while the clock is not in setting mode. Use the TUNING +/– buttons to toggle between 12-hour and 24-hour formats.
