To reset the Sony DAV-DZ120 to factory settings, turn off the system. Then, press and hold the 'STOP' button on the unit and press the 'POWER' button simultaneously until 'COLD RESET' appears on the display.
Ensure that the surround sound mode is activated. Check connections and settings to ensure the rear speakers are properly connected and configured. Also, ensure that the content being played supports surround sound.
Unplug the unit from power for a few minutes and plug it back in. Try to open the tray by pressing the 'EJECT' button. If the issue persists, there might be a mechanical fault that requires professional service.
To enhance bass output, check the subwoofer connection and ensure it is properly connected. Adjust the bass settings via the remote control by accessing the audio settings menu.
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior surfaces of the system. Avoid using any liquid cleaners or solvents. For the disc tray, use a lens cleaning disc periodically.
Connect the TV to the home theatre system using an HDMI cable or optical cable for audio. Set the TV output to the correct input source that corresponds to the connection you've made.
Check if the DVD is compatible with the system. Ensure the disc is clean and free of scratches. If the problem persists, try resetting the system or using a different DVD.
The Sony DAV-DZ120 does not support firmware updates via internet connectivity. Any updates must be performed using a CD provided by Sony, if applicable.
Place the front speakers at ear level and equidistant from the TV. The center speaker should be positioned above or below the TV. Rear speakers should be placed slightly behind and at ear level or higher.
Ensure the remote has fresh batteries and is aimed directly at the receiver. Remove any obstructions between the remote and receiver. If the problem persists, try resetting the remote by removing the batteries and pressing each button once.
