To reset the Sony CMT-NE3 to factory settings, unplug the power cord, wait a few minutes, and then plug it back in while holding down the 'Stop' button on the unit.
Ensure the system is turned on, then press the 'Open/Close' button. If it still doesn't open, try unplugging the system for a few minutes and then plugging it back in.
Extend the FM antenna fully and adjust its position for better reception. You may also try placing the unit near a window or away from electronic devices to reduce interference.
Check that the speaker wires are properly connected and that the volume is turned up. Also, ensure the 'Mute' function is not activated.
The Sony CMT-NE3 is designed for its own pair of speakers. Connecting external speakers is not recommended and may not be supported.
Verify that the power cord is securely connected. If the display is still not working, try resetting the system by unplugging it for a few minutes.
Press the 'Clock/Timer Set' button. Use the 'Tuning' buttons to set the hours and minutes, then confirm with the 'Enter' button.
Use a dry, soft brush or a commercially available lens cleaning disc to gently clean the CD lens. Avoid using liquid cleaners.
The Sony CMT-NE3 does not support USB devices. Consider using a compatible audio input like a CD or FM radio.
Check the batteries in the remote control and replace them if necessary. Ensure there are no obstacles between the remote and the unit, and try cleaning the remote sensor on the unit.
