To connect your iPod, use the iPod dock located on top of the unit. Gently place your iPod into the dock connector, ensuring a secure fit. Once connected, select the iPod function using the remote control or the function button on the main unit to begin playback.
Ensure that the volume is not muted and is set to an audible level. Check all cable connections to the speakers and ensure the correct function is selected on the unit. If using an external device, verify that it is properly connected and functioning.
To reset the system, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Wait for a few minutes, and then plug it back in. Turn on the system and any previous settings will be cleared, returning the unit to its default state.
Ensure the disc is inserted correctly with the label side facing up. Check the disc for any scratches or dirt, and clean it if necessary. Try playing a different disc to determine if the issue is with the CD player or the disc itself.
Press the CLOCK/TIMER button on the remote control. Use the TUNING +/− buttons to set the hour, and press ENTER. Repeat the same steps to set the minutes, and confirm by pressing ENTER again.
The Sony CMT-LX20i does not support direct USB playback. You can connect an external device to the audio input jack using a compatible cable to play music through the system.
To improve FM reception, fully extend the FM antenna wire and adjust its position. If necessary, try placing it near a window or higher up in the room. Additionally, repositioning the unit itself might help reduce interference.
Use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe the exterior surfaces. Avoid using any abrasive materials or solvents, as they can damage the finish. For any stubborn stains, slightly dampen the cloth with water and then wipe dry.
First, check that the batteries are installed correctly and replace them if necessary. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the unit. If the issue persists, try resetting the remote by removing the batteries and pressing all buttons. Replace the batteries and test again.
Press the SLEEP button on the remote control repeatedly to select the desired time (in minutes) for the system to turn off automatically. The options range from 10 to 90 minutes. The sleep timer will activate, and the system will shut off after the set duration.
