To reset the Sony CMT-HPR90 to factory settings, first turn off the system. Then, press and hold the STOP button and the EQ button simultaneously for about 5 seconds, until "RESET" appears on the display. Release the buttons to complete the reset process.
Ensure that the speakers are properly connected to the system. Check that the volume is turned up and not muted. Verify that the correct input source is selected. If the problem persists, try connecting different speakers to determine if the issue is with the speakers themselves.
To improve FM radio reception, extend the FM antenna fully and adjust its position for better signal reception. You can also try moving the unit closer to a window or away from electronic devices that may cause interference.
The Sony CMT-HPR90 does not have built-in Bluetooth capability. To connect your smartphone, you can use an auxiliary cable to connect the headphone jack of your phone to the AUX input on the system.
To clean the CD player, use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Avoid using liquids or sprays directly on the unit. For the laser lens, use a commercially available lens cleaner designed for CD players.
Check the power cord for any damage and ensure it is securely connected to both the unit and a working power outlet. Try plugging the system into a different outlet. If the issue persists, the system may require servicing.
To set the clock, press the CLOCK/TIMER button until the time display flashes. Use the TUNING + or - buttons to set the hour, then press ENTER. Repeat the process to set the minutes and finalize the setting by pressing ENTER again.
When storing the Sony CMT-HPR90, ensure it is unplugged from the power source. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and dust. Cover the unit with a cloth or appropriate cover to protect it from dust.
To switch between audio sources, use the FUNCTION button on the main unit or remote control. Each press will cycle through available sources such as CD, FM, AM, and AUX.
Ensure there is no disc jammed inside and that the unit is on a flat, stable surface. Try unplugging the unit for a few minutes, then plug it back in and attempt to open the tray again. If the issue continues, the CD mechanism may need servicing.
