Sony CMT-BX5BT Operating Instructions

To pair your Bluetooth device, first ensure the system is turned on. Press the 'PAIRING' button on the remote control until the Bluetooth indicator starts flashing. Enable Bluetooth on your device and select 'CMT-BX5BT' from the list of available devices. Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator will stay lit.
To reset the system, first turn it off. Then, press and hold the 'STOP' button on the unit until 'RESET' appears on the display. Release the button, and the system will return to factory settings.
First, check that the volume is turned up and not muted. Ensure the speakers are properly connected to the unit. Verify that the correct input source is selected. If using Bluetooth, confirm that your device is paired and connected.
To improve FM reception, extend the FM antenna and move it to a location with better signal strength. Avoid placing the unit near metal objects or electronic devices that may cause interference.
Ensure the CD is placed properly with the label side up. Check if the CD is clean and free of scratches. Try playing a different CD to determine if the issue is with the disc.
The CMT-BX5BT is designed to work with its built-in speakers and does not support additional speakers directly. Consider using an external amplifier if you wish to connect extra speakers.
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Avoid using any liquid or aerosol cleaners. For the display, gently wipe with a microfiber cloth to prevent scratches.
Press the 'CLOCK/TIMER' button until the time starts flashing. Use the 'TUNE +/-' buttons to set the hour, then press 'ENTER'. Use the same method to set the minutes, and press 'ENTER' again to confirm.
Ensure the power cord is securely connected to a working outlet. Check the power switch on the back of the unit. If the unit still does not turn on, try a different power outlet or test the cord with another device.
Use the 'FUNCTION' button on the remote control to cycle through available audio sources such as CD, FM, AM, and Bluetooth. The selected source will be displayed on the unit's screen.
