To play a cassette, insert the tape into the cassette compartment with the side you want to play facing outward. Press the 'Play' button to start playback.
Check if the volume is turned up. Ensure the headphones are not plugged in. Also, inspect if the cassette is inserted correctly and not damaged.
To clean the tape heads, open the cassette compartment and gently clean the heads with a cotton swab moistened with isopropyl alcohol.
Tape sticking can be caused by dirty heads or pinch rollers. Clean them using a cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol. Also, check if the tape is worn or damaged.
Insert a blank cassette, tune to the desired radio station, and press the 'Record' button along with 'Play' to start recording.
The Sony CFS-W450 does not support external speakers directly. It is designed to use its built-in speakers.
Ensure the antenna is fully extended and properly positioned. Try tuning to different stations manually to check reception.
