To reset the Sony CFS-W304 to its factory settings, unplug the unit from the power source, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. This should reset any custom settings.
First, check if the tape is inserted correctly. If the problem persists, clean the tape heads with a cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol. Ensure there are no obstructions in the cassette compartment.
Extend the telescopic antenna fully and adjust its position. Try placing the unit near a window or higher location. Avoid interference from other electronic devices.
