To replace the cassette, open the cassette compartment by pressing the eject button. Remove the old cassette and insert a new one with the tape side facing the compartment. Close the compartment securely before playback.
First, check if the device is plugged into a working power outlet. If using batteries, ensure they are inserted correctly and have sufficient charge. If problems persist, inspect the power cord for damage.
Extend the telescopic antenna fully and adjust its angle for better reception. Avoid placing the device near other electronic equipment that may cause interference.
Use a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol to gently clean the tape heads. Avoid using excessive liquid and ensure the device is powered off during cleaning.
Press the 'Clock' button and use the 'Hour' and 'Minute' buttons to set the correct time. Ensure the AM/PM setting is also configured if applicable. Confirm the setting by pressing the 'Clock' button again.
Power off the device and gently press the eject button to see if the tape can be released. If it remains stuck, carefully open the compartment manually without forcing, and remove the tape.
Insert a blank cassette tape into the compartment. Press the 'Record' button while simultaneously pressing the 'Play' button to start recording. Use the built-in microphone or line input for sound sources.
Check if the volume is turned up and not muted. Ensure the function switch is set to the correct source. Inspect the headphone jack for any obstructions that may redirect audio output.
Use high-quality alkaline batteries and remove them if the device will not be used for extended periods. Store the device in a cool, dry place to prevent battery leakage.
Ensure the cassette compartment is empty and the antenna is retracted. Use a protective case or padding during transport to prevent damage from bumps or drops.
