First, ensure the tape is properly inserted and not jammed. Check the tape for damage. If the problem persists, clean the cassette player's heads using a cleaning cassette.
To improve radio reception, extend the antenna fully and adjust its angle. Avoid placing the unit near electronic devices that can cause interference.
The Sony CFS-902 uses six 'D' size batteries. To replace them, open the battery compartment, remove the old batteries, and insert the new ones, ensuring correct polarity.
The Sony CFS-902 does not have dedicated outputs for external speakers. It is designed to work with its built-in speakers only.
To clean the Sony CFS-902, use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Avoid using water or chemical cleaners. Regularly clean the cassette heads with a cleaning cassette to maintain audio quality.
Distorted sound can be caused by dirty cassette heads. Use a cleaning cassette to clean the heads. Also, check if the tape is damaged or stretched.
To activate the sleep timer, press the 'Sleep' button repeatedly to select the desired time. The unit will automatically turn off after the set time.
If the unit does not power on with new batteries, ensure they are inserted correctly. Check for any corrosion in the battery compartment and clean it if necessary.
If the cassette door won't open, gently tap the unit to release any stuck parts. Ensure the unit is powered on, as some models require power to release the door lock mechanism.
