To change the cassette, open the cassette compartment by pressing the 'Stop/Eject' button. Remove the old cassette and insert the new one with the tape side facing out. Close the compartment gently.
Ensure the cassette is properly inserted and the tape is not jammed. Check if the 'Play' button is pressed. If the issue persists, clean the tape head with a cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol.
Regularly clean the tape heads and pinch rollers using a head cleaning cassette or a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol. Avoid using worn-out or damaged tapes.
Humming noises could be due to electrical interference. Ensure all connections are secure and try moving the device away from other electronics. If the problem continues, check the power cord and plug for any damage.
To use the radio, switch the function selector to 'Radio'. Use the tuning knob to find your desired station and adjust the volume to your preference.
Ensure the telescopic antenna is fully extended and correctly oriented. Try adjusting the position of the unit for better reception. If indoors, move closer to a window.
Open the battery compartment on the back of the unit. Remove the old batteries and insert new ones, ensuring they are oriented correctly according to the polarity indicators.
Check that the power cord is securely connected and that the outlet is functioning. If using batteries, ensure they are correctly installed and not depleted.
Ensure the unit is powered off and disconnect from power briefly. Gently attempt to open the door by pressing the 'Stop/Eject' button. If it remains stuck, consult a professional technician.
Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild detergent solution, but avoid getting any liquid inside the unit.
