To set the clock on your Sony CFD-S50, press and hold the CLOCK button until the hour starts blinking. Use the TUNE + or - buttons to set the hour, press CLOCK to confirm, then set the minutes using the same method. Press CLOCK again to finalize.
If your CD player is not reading discs, ensure the disc is clean and free from scratches. Try another disc to rule out disc issues. If the problem persists, clean the lens with a suitable lens cleaner and check for any obstructions inside the CD compartment.
To improve radio reception, fully extend the antenna and adjust its position. Relocate the unit to an area with fewer obstructions and away from electronic devices that might cause interference.
The Sony CFD-S50 requires 6 size C (R14) batteries for portable use. Ensure that the batteries are inserted correctly according to the polarity markings.
If the sound is distorted when playing tapes, clean the tape heads and pinch rollers with a suitable cleaning solution. Also, check the tape for any damage or quality issues.
