To set the clock, press the "Clock" button until the hour starts blinking. Use the "Tuning" buttons to set the hour. Press "Clock" again to set the minutes, then use the "Tuning" buttons to adjust. Press "Clock" one more time to save the setting.
Ensure the disc is clean and free of scratches. If the issue persists, try using a different disc. If none of these solutions work, gently clean the laser lens with a lens cleaner.
Extend the antenna fully and reposition it for better reception. If indoors, try placing the unit near a window. Avoid areas with electronic interference.
Check if the tape is inserted correctly and not jammed. Ensure the tape head is clean. If the problem continues, the tape mechanism may need servicing.
Insert a CD and switch to CD mode. Press "Program", then use the "Tuning" buttons to select a track. Press "Program" again to store the track. Repeat the process for additional tracks, then press "Play" to start the sequence.
The Sony CFD-S22 requires either 6 size "C" batteries or the included AC power cord for operation. Ensure the batteries are inserted correctly or the AC cord is securely connected.
Use a cotton swab slightly moistened with isopropyl alcohol to gently clean the tape heads. Ensure the unit is turned off and unplugged during cleaning.
The Sony CFD-S22 does not have external speaker outputs. It is designed to be used with its built-in speakers only.
First, check the power source to ensure the unit is receiving power. If using batteries, replace them with new ones. If the display is still not working, a technical inspection may be required.
There is no specific factory reset function on the Sony CFD-S22. For troubleshooting, try unplugging the unit for a few minutes to reset the system.
